Remote bike brake

A little extra control for our bike rides

As my son became more confident on his bike, we started venturing further and further together. But I was always worried that he might not react quickly enough to a verbal warning to stop, or forget to slow down on rough terrain.

So I built an additional brake actuator for his bicycle, controlled by a small lever on my own handlebars. This allows me to gently apply the brakes and adjust his speed remotely whenever he needs a little extra help.

It gave us an extra layer of reassurance and the confidence to explore more together.
