A dad who likes to tinker.
I'm the dad of a wonderful, energetic boy who has autism and hearing loss and uses a cochlear implant. Over the years, we've faced quite a few challenges — not only with learning and rehabilitation, but also with everyday activities like playing, cycling, or swimming.
I've always loved tinkering with things, so whenever we ran into a problem, I tried to find a way around it. Sometimes that meant building something myself, adapting an existing device, or simply discovering a product that could make things easier.
Along the way, I've created little games, experimented with assistive devices, and found some surprisingly useful solutions.
AbiliPlay is simply a place where I share what we've made, tried, and learned. I hope that some of these ideas and experiences might help other families facing similar challenges — or inspire someone to come up with a solution of their own.
